Are you working from home but your RDP session on Windows 10 keeps intermittently freezing and it’s annoying the hell out of you? I went through the same thing and had a really hard time searching for a solution.
The RDP fix below should be done on the client machine where you are running RDP, not the remote machine that you are connecting to:
- Tap the Windows Key to bring up start menu > type “regedit” > click Registry Editor
- Browse to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Policies > Microsoft > Windows NT > Terminal Services > Client
- Right click “client” > New > DWord (32-bit) Value
- Name: fClientDisableUDP – Value: 1 – Base: Hexadecimal
- Reboot your machine
That’s it, go ahead and test RDP, you should no longer experience random RDP freezing.
